School and Library Visits

I would love to come to your school and share book making with your students! As a children’s book author and illustrator I’ve visited children’s museums, book stores, children’s hospitals and classrooms with students from Pre-K to the college level. I’ve also presented to adults that are interested in the picture book field. IN PERSON VISITS

-Half day visits and full day visits can be scheduled within the NYC metro area (5 boroughs).

-If you are a school, conference or library outside the NYC area and would like to inquire about an in-person visit. Please get in touch for details.

Each presentation can be tailored in length depending on the class size and age of the students. Typically, each classroom visit is 40-50 minutes long and includes: a read aloud, Q&A, live drawing with the students or a craft activity or workshop. A half day includes three classroom visits and a full day up to six classrooms if time allows. Examples from past visits include:

• Collage based project with things found in nature. 

• A soak sponge painting technique. 

• Creating characters for a student’s own book idea.

VIRTUAL VISITS

- (45-50 minute read aloud) with pre-recorded activity related to the book and a Q&A. 

Workshops and Conferences for Adults. In Person and Virtual.

Adult and college presentations include a slideshow of my work, a brief work history of the art related jobs I’ve had before becoming a full time freelancer and a Q&A.
